KimCentral Privacy Statement to Members

At KimCentral Credit Union we recognize and respect our Members expectations of privacy. We are committed to protecting your privacy by not sharing the information you have provided us to process your requests, transactions and other financial needs. The information we collect regarding your account is not sold to any other firm or business partner for marketing purposes.

Privacy Policy

Recognition of Member Privacy

KimCentral recognizes and respects the privacy expectations of our Members and their families. For this reason, we do not share or sell member data/information to anyone. Privacy disclosures are available to members for complete information on how we handle member information. The disclosure can be requested via phone, in person or through email request on line. This privacy disclosure will automatically be provided to members on an annual basis. This policy and our internal procedures are reviewed on an annual basis. In addition, this policy covers all former members of KimCentral Credit Union.

Collection of Necessary Member Data (use)

At KimCentral Credit Union we limit the information we collect on members to only information needed to process their requests, administer their accounts, to provide member services and to fulfill any legal or regulatory requirements. We will tell our members about the general use of the information we collect and will provide additional explanations if they so request. We do not collect user information from our WEB site for marketing purposes of any kind.

Information Quality and Employee Practices

With advanced technology and well defined employee practices, we ensure that member data that is collected is processed promptly, accurately and completely. At KimCentral we require high standards of consumer reporting agencies and other outside sources that provide us with information about our present and potential members. In addition, we will respond immediately to a member request to correct inaccurate information.

Protection of Information and Security Safeguards

KimCentral Credit Union maintains appropriate safeguards and security procedures regarding unauthorized access to our member information. All records and data is properly shredded prior to disposal. Documentation is destroyed per NCUA Retention Guidelines. Destruction of documents is handled by authorized employees and/or bonded companies when the shredding of large quantities of documents is required. Access to member data is limited to those employees who specifically need it to conduct member requests and/or those who have a business reason for knowing such information. Employees are educated on member privacy policies and procedures and sign an Oath of Office stressing the importance of member confidentiality.

Expectation on Member Privacy with Third Party Business Relationships

KimCentral extends our privacy policies and principals to those third party business partners we select and expect them to honor similar procedures when processing member information. Third party examples given are not limited to the following; credit bureau agencies, appraisers, title companies, ATM networks, etc. KimCentral does NOT share, sell or provide information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

Employee Responsibility to Privacy Policy and Principals

KimCentral provides training and education on the importance of member privacy. We conduct internal audits and reviews of our compliance with privacy policies and principals. Employees who violate these policies and principals will be subject to disciplinary actions and may result in termination.

Disclosure of Information Our Site Gathers and Use

When you visit KimCentral's WEB Site the following information will be tracked; IP address, date and time of access, total number of visitors logins and transactions or applications completed. This information is collected for the sole purpose of tracking and compiling statistics to help us improve our site so that members and visitors find it more helpful and informational. This information is for statistical use only. Information gathered is not shared or sold to anyone outside our site for marketing purposes. This information is NOT distributed to any third party. Information collected through any application process on our site will be used only for the purpose intended, and to process your request. The information will be provided to only those employees who have a business need to process your request, transaction or application. They will use only information that is necessary to conduct our normal business.

Security and Sharing

KimCentral will protect visitor and member personal non-public information. We will maintain strong security precautions, 128 bit encryption and all the necessary security coding techniques to protect against unauthorized access to personal records and information. We will provide necessary security controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of communications and transactions and to protect member confidentiality.
